Unions launch global logistics network
12 October 2005
Trade unions with members working in the big four logistics/express delivery companies - UPS, DHL, Federal Express and TNT - will meet in Washington from 1 to 3 November 2005 to establish a global union network. The meeting is being organised by the International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF). It will bring together some of the world’s largest transport and logistics trade unions, with delegates attending from the US, Germany, The Netherlands, Britain, Australia, India, Hong Kong, South Africa, Canada, Belgium and Spain. The International Brotherhood of Teamsters will host the event.
